Chakatsa supports youth development initiatives and contributes towards skills development in the areas of Arts and Information Communications Technology.
Chakatsa is inspired by the idea of “a proud Africa built by its vibrant youth” (which is the vision of the Youth Development Network, South Africa).
Currently, Chakatsa’s managing director, Monwabisi Kete mentors budding entrepreneurs and is committed to using his talents and resources to help advance development and education initiatives in society.
This year, 2016, Chakatsa is sponsoring two learners who are pursuing studies in Visual Arts. Through our internship programme, which started in 2012, we have empowered eight young people with brand marketing and communications skills, who are now employed in other companies within the country.
In 2011, we donated four computers to learners pursuing IT studies at a tertiary level and offered a full bursary to one student to study Marketing.
Annually, in the month of August, we conduct a week-long workshop for a select group of young women to learn the basics of graphic and web design.
Our staff members are volunteers and community leaders; which we consciously encourage as an agency.
